This Privacy Policy explains how Bio Boost (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our iOS app and related services. By using Bio Boost, you agree to this Policy.
What Bio Boost Does
Bio Boost helps you craft short, high-quality bios from text you enter or photos you choose. The app offers 4 free bios, then a $4.99 weekly subscription for unlimited bios.
Information We Collect
Content You Provide
- Text you type to generate a bio.
- Photos you select to inspire a photo-based bio.
Usage & Diagnostics
- Basic interaction events (e.g., generate tapped, success/failure, feature usage count).
- Crash logs and performance metrics (via Apple / OS-level diagnostics).
Purchase Data
- Subscription status and purchase receipts handled by Apple’s In-App Purchase framework.
How We Use Information
- Generate bios and improve suggestions.
- Operate, maintain, and enhance the app’s features and reliability.
- Process subscriptions and verify access using Apple’s systems.
- Prevent abuse and ensure fair use after the 4 free bios.
Photo Handling & AI Providers
When you generate a photo-based bio, your chosen photo may be transmitted (via secure TLS) to an AI service (e.g., Google Gemini or OpenAI) solely to create your bio text. We do not sell your photos or personal information.
- Processing purpose: analyze the photo’s general aesthetic/vibe to produce a bio; no identity matching.
- Storage: By default, photos are not permanently stored on our servers. If the app offers “Save” or “History,” the image or a compressed copy may be stored locally on your device (or in iCloud if you enable it).
- No facial recognition: We do not attempt to identify who you are in a photo.
AI providers process content under their own terms & policies. See: Google AI and OpenAI Policies.
Data Sharing
- With AI vendors: Text and images you submit for generation are shared with the selected AI provider to create the bio.
- With Apple: Purchase and subscription status are verified by Apple’s App Store infrastructure.
- With analytics / crash tools: We may use privacy-respecting diagnostics to improve stability.
We do not sell your personal information.
Retention
- Generated bios: May be kept in your local “History” until you delete them.
- Photos: Not retained by us unless you save them to history or iCloud; otherwise they’re used transiently for generation.
- Receipts: Kept as required for subscription validation and fraud prevention.
Children
Bio Boost is not intended for children under 13. If we learn we inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted transport (TLS), to protect your data. No method is 100% secure.
Your Choices
- Use the app with text only; photos are optional.
- Delete bios or photos you’ve saved in the app’s history.
- Request deletion or ask questions via email (see Contact).
Subscription & Billing
Price: $4.99 per week after 4 free bios. Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew weekly unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage: You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Trial: Any unused portion of a free trial (if offered) is forfeited when you purchase.
International Users
Your information may be processed in the country where our service providers operate. By using Bio Boost, you consent to such processing.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated date at the top of this page. Material changes may be communicated in-app.
